Airtel Blackberry Prepaid Service at Rs.80 per week

Vodafone and Tata Docomo are offering daily rental plans for Blackberry Service on Prepaid. Airtel does not have a daily rental plans but weekly plans starting at Rs.80 per weeek for Email and BBM and Rs.100 per week for Email, BBM and Browsing. Find the various plans after the break.

This offer is only for Airtel prepaid customers and not valid on international roaming.

Airtel promises instant activation via SMS.To activate SMS < airtelbb > to 121 and choose your plan. You call 121 from your Airtel mobile number.

Don’t you think Airtel is slightly expensive ? Do you want a daily rental plan ?

    There is no official confirmation from Vodafone regarding launch of BlackBerry service in prepaid. Request you to please check and update.

    Guys before going to vodafone read the ffollowing. My name is Parag Kulkarni 9960819922.
    The vodafone service for Blackberry is horrible. Their support team is good for nothing. They have no history of complaints for any number and ask ridiculous question every time you call.
    I was a Airtel customer for years with excellent Blackberry support. Due to the poor signal strength in my office I ported out to vodafone. Biggest mistake of my life. Its almost 2 months, more than 25 calls to customer care (these idiots dont have a dedicated line for Blackberry or GPRS support. Every time it takes around 15 minutes to reach the GPRS helpdesk)5 registered complaints but still I dont get the EDGE network when I am in Maharashtra ( home ) circle. It works fine in mumbai circle. After every complaint they tell you your complaint will be resolved in 4 to 10 days. Then after that period they they dont even bother to call you and mark their records as ” COMPLAINT RESOLVED. You are left high and dry. When you call again for status of complaint they give you a new complaint no. and ask to wait for 4-10 days more.This is pathetic. I spoke to the supevisors too . They put your call on hold for more than 20 min. finally you get frustrated and disconnect. In the evening ( when it is time for the supervisors to go home)you get a sms saying ” we tried to call you but your no was not reachable. pl call 111 for the update”. When you call 111 after 10-15 mins they tell you that there is no update. A folks you are paying for all these call. This is going on for two months now.

    Parag i am facing the exact issue with vodafone in Bangalore. I don get the EDGE symbol in my locality but as soon as i am out of my area it works fine. I had registered a complaint 25 days ago, they never reverted in spite of my numerous calls(at least 40).
    Their customer support is disgusting, ill-trained, dumb & totally inefficient. Although i have been a customer of vodafone/Hutch for the last 10 years i would like to send a strong warning to all, kindly beware of vodafone blackberry services. As parag has mentioned, they falsely update the ticket and then close it and keep promising random resolution dates. i am having a torrid time with them and i hope nobody else has to go through this. I have no hopes of it getting resolved and i am looking up to aritel as an alternate option.
