Exclusive: Tons of Pictures of Nokia N8 darkgrey and green!!

on June 16, 2010 – 5:21 pm24 Comments

I finally had my Hands on shiny new Nokia N8s lately, and boy was I impressed. First of, I wanna thank Nokia Austria for giving me a nice Demo of the Device, and even better, allowed to snap a full Picture Gallery.  The Green N8 actually looked very nice, darkgrey looked quite odd in Comparison.

And this is said by a friend of all black Devices, it just looks better in Colour. Exactly the Reason why i’ll get mine in either Blue or Orange, hehe. Anyways, the Symbian^3-powered Nokia N8 is the dawn of a new Era for Nokia, correcting many flaws and disappointments from Symbian^1, a fantastic looking Hardware and a spectacular Camera. Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen, Nokia kicks other 12MP Phones in the Dustbin, with a 12 Megapixel Carl Zeiss Camera on its own, with the Worlds biggest Sensor ever made in a mobile Phone. On Top of that, and that is something i have been waiting since N82, the N8 features a Xenon Flash, low light snapshots are fun again. The OS was still proto of course, but the Pics I was able to snap were amazing. Videos are recorded in 720p HD Video at 24fps.  Other than that, the Nokia N8 sports a mini-HDMI connector, USB-on-the-go, a 3,5″ capacitive multitouch AMOLED Touchscreen with nHD (640×360 pixel res), an aluminium Body, runs on Symbian^3 (it runs fast) and much much more…

Expect a lot more Coverage in the next few Days, cause i have TONS to say about this Device!

As usual, you can find my Galleries on Flickr - feel free to add me and have a look at them in full res!!

    Looks great..

The only two drawbacks in N82 are—-

A ) Absence of sliding cover for Camera which is present in many high
ended phones. Many phone-cameras may not have this but stll it is a
    dis-dvantage.

    B ) Non-removable (Fixed ) battery.

As,for me these are prominent drawbacks. But altogather this is superb
and best camra, & each one has to judge above points.

    • J.N.Nadkarni

      not N82 But n8

      • Michael Hell

yes, the cam slider is a drawback for me as well.

as for the battery, i’m okay with this. with the rate people are changing their phones, they should be just fine with it. as long as the battery doesnt get damaged or something, it should be good. it also helps the build quality a lot..

and yes, the camera is simply stunning!

This mobile phone has attracted my attention since the day of its launch and your photographs of N8 further increased my curiosity.I am using n95 8gb and I am thinking of buying this mobile when it arrived in India.
If possible please tell me how the new OS of this mobile differs from symbian 3rd & 5th generation.
    Thanx a lot.

    • Michael Hell

      hello nirmal,

well, the OS is a LOT faster than s60v5 was. it also has 3 homescreen with widget support. what i like especially are a) the new lock screen with important informations on it and b) that i can put a mail widget for every mail account i have.

apart from that we have smart dialing (similar to E-Series), better video support, improved music player, and of course battery life improvements. Symbian^3 will really be nice in my opinion!

      Michael

  • Ankit

The price is around 20000-22000 INR (without taxes).
Even I wanna buy it as soon as it arrives at the Indian markets.

are these pictures above taken in N8?

  • Rahul Ravi

    Hi Michael,

On my first day with the Nokia N8, I found that some pictures, especially the ones taken in dim light look a bit foggy and hazy. I have tried changing the settings but it doesn’t work. Have you experienced anything like that? Also I haven’t removed the protective cover on the camera yet, can it be the reason?

I look forward to your reply

    • http://www.fonearena.com Varun Krish

woah .. how can u not remove the lens cover and expect great pics :) please remove it rahul
