As per the report, the iPhone 5e will be powered by an A8 chip accompanied by 1GB RAM that contradicts the previous report which hinted that the 4-inch device will be called as the iPhone 6c and come with A9 processor. In addition, the report states that the iPhone 5e will be available in only 16GB and 32GB options. If all these specs are true, the device will be a mid ranger and could be targeted at emerging markets. Moving on, the phone is said to come with support for Apple Pay and voice over LTE for high quality phone calls. Finally, the report states that the iPhone 5e is currently in production at Foxconn and is expected to be released in March.

The earlier report on the 4-inch iPhone had mentioned a metal body with iPhone 6s-style design and a 2D cover glass with curved edges. It must be noted that this is a rumor and nothing official has been announced by Apple until now.
