Google releases ‘Who’s Down’ app to meet up with friends

Google has launched a new app called as ‘Who’s Down’ which helps to find which of your friends are free to hangout. The invite only app is currently available for Android and iOS.

Google Who's Down appAfter installing the app, you will simply have to move a slider to the right in order to notify your friends that you are free to meet. This slider is set to defaults for three-hour, after which you will disappear from your friends’ lists of available people. You can also initiate group chats with friends within the app to make plans. The Who’s Down app even offers some pre-set list of activities to do like go for a coffee, grab tacos and so on. If you don’t have an invite, you can request one from within the app by entering your email address.

The app is aimed at teenagers as it requires you to provide the name of your school alongside your email address. It is similar to Apple’s Find My Friends tool and Foursquare’s Swarm app.
