Periscope app is now available for Apple TV

Last month, it was reported that Periscope was working on an Apple TV app. Now, the popular streaming service has launched the Apple TV app that will let you experience live broadcasts on your TV.

It also comes with a new remote, which also has a touchscreen, mic and Wii-like motion control built in. The new Periscope app will allow viewers to see broadcasts, without the need to have an account, read comments and send hearts to show appreciation to the broadcaster.

As you open the app, you will see a collection of live broadcasts across the globe. You can skip to the next broadcast, hide or show comments and hearts, and return to the main menu for an entirely fresh collection of places to go. If a broadcast ends, Periscope will automatically take you to the next destination. Periscope said that it is looking forward to create new ways to interact with the broadcasters and will even work to bring new types of content and forms of discovery to the platform.
