Last month HTC sent out invites for the Double Exposure event on October 8th. Recent leaks indicated HTC One M8 Eye with 13MP Duo Camera and a RECamera , competitor to the GoPro. Today fresh leaks from @Upleaks shows the press shots of the upcoming HTC Desire Eye smartphone with 13-megapixel cameras on the front and the back. Both have dual LED flashes next to them.
The 13-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and wide angle lens would make it a perfect selfie smartphone. Looks like Double Exposure hinted at this smartphone. Coming to the specifications, the leaks says that it would come with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC, 2GB RAM, 32GB of Internal storage with expansion slot (up to 128GB) and a 2400mAh removable battery.
It would have IPX7 rating for water resistance and come with smooth edges. It would come with dual colors such as white on the back and red on the sides and dark blue on the back and cyan on the sides.
The Sense 6 for EYE looks like an enhanced version of Sense with new selfie-specialized functions. The One M8 and the Butterfly 2 would get a update for the selfie-specialized features before the Android L update, other smartphones such as One E8, One Mini 2, Desire 816, One M7, One Mini and the One Max would get the selfie-specialized functions with Android L update, according to the leak.
Now we have an idea of what to expect at the October 8th event. Still there are few days left, so we can expect more leaks before the announcement.
