Microsoft sends press invites for IFA on Sept.4, teases Lumia 730 ‘selfie’ phone


Last week, Nokia Lumia 730, a selfie focused phone surfaced in a new leak. Today, Microsoft has sent out press invites for its IFA 2014 event which will take place on September 4th.

The invite says “Ready for more” and the company is expected to launch a camera-centric Windows Phone 8.1 device at the event. In addition, the invite also reads, “Join us for more face time” which puts more focus on a ‘selfie’ smartphone. The Lumia 730 will likely sport a 4.7 inch screen and feature a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.

The phone which has codename Superman  might be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera. It was recently reported that the head of Microsoft devices, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop, showed off two new devices at an internal company meeting and one of them was said to be the selfie focused Lumia 730.

Along with the Lumia 730, Microsoft is also expected to announce Lumia 830 that will have the Nokia by Microsoft branding.
