LG Smart Keyboard for G3 to get application-based text suggestions, Real-time path input and more

LG Smart Keyboard update for G3

LG has announced that the LG G3’s Smart Keyboard would get a new update this month with new features. LG introduced the Smart Keyboard with the LG G3 and also implemented it the latest G Pad devices that started rolling out last month. The LG Smart Keyboard has adaptive technology that learns as the user types, for faster input with fewer mistakes. It also has an option to adjust the height to fit user’s hands and position of the thumbs.

The new update would bring some unique features including application-based text suggestion that suggests words depending on the application. New features include,

  • Emoji Suggestion: Recommends most appropriate emoticon to represent a specific word
  • Application-based Text Tone Suggestion: Learns from users’ typing habits and suggests the most commonly used words depending on the application.
  • Next Word Suggestion: Uses contextual analysis and studies the user’s style over time to suggest the next word or symbol.
  • Bilingual Word Suggestion: Automatically detects and changes to the correct language without requiring the user to manually switch languages.
  • Real-time Path Input: Lets users enter text by fluidly tracing their finger in one continuous motion across the keyboard.

The Smart Keyboard update for LG G3 users starting this month via LG update center. The roll out might vary depending on the country. Check out the video below to get an idea of the new features.
