Flipkart introduced “In-a-day” delivery towards the end of 2013 and it was an idea which Amazon had introduced in India. Fast forward five months and today, Flipkart have announced that they are introducing same day delivering in select cities. Flipkart is one of the leading e-retailers in the country and this is the latest plan to get ahead of the competition.
Same-Day guarantee delivery expects you to order your product before noon in order to be delivered in the same day. The extra charges include Rs. 140 per item(this is a special introductory price and will be valid only for a couple of days – the actual charges for Same day delivery would be Rs. 200). At launch, Same-day guarantee delivery is available across Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Kolkata, Manesar, Navi mumbai and Thane. The product will be delivered by 9PM on the date of ordering.
Flipkart has also mentioned that if it is not able to deliver your product in the Same-Day guarantee on the same day then you get the product free(products worth upto Rs. 5000 and this is also only a special promotion which is valid till April 30). The amount will be refunded to your account as Flipkart redeem points and you can use them on your future purchases at Flipkart.
