Viber is taking a leaf from Snapchat to launch an ephemeral messaging app called as Viber Wink. The standalone app allows users to send photo & video messages that disappear after they have been viewed.

Microsoft has launched its own version of the ephemeral messaging app dubbed as WindUp. A product of the Microsoft Research, the app will let Windows Phone users send and receive temporary messages and media like audio, video and photo.
