Motorola has launched the new moto watch ultra, expanding its smartwatch lineup with a new model developed in partnership with Polar.
The moto watch ultra is powered by the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 Platform and features a 1.5-inch OLED display with up to 2,700 nits of brightness and an always-on display. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, while the 46mm stainless steel body has IP6820 and 5ATM underwater protection.
The watch supports 22mm third-party bands, including silicone options in PANTONE Black Beauty and PANTONE Mountain View, along with genuine leather options in PANTONE Black Beauty and PANTONE Nuthatch. Battery life is rated at up to 2 days of active use on a single charge when the always-on display is disabled, while a 15-minute charge provides up to 24 hours of active use.

The moto watch ultra uses Polar’s fitness algorithms for health, sleep and activity tracking. Its wellness features include Serene, Nightly Recharge and Sleep Plus Stages.
- Serene: Provides breathing exercises with real-time biofeedback, tracks time spent in three serenity zones and indicates whether the user synchronized with the optimal breathing rhythm.
- Nightly Recharge: Combines sleep quality with autonomic nervous system (ANS) recovery measurements to show how the body adjusted from the previous day.
- Sleep Plus Stages: Tracks light, deep and REM sleep stages to calculate a personal sleep score.
For daily activity tracking, the moto watch ultra includes Activity Goal, Activity Score, Active Intensity Zones, Inactivity Alert, Smart Calories and Energy Sources.
- Activity Goal: Creates a daily target based on the user’s profile and chosen activity level.
- Activity Score: Measures movement and intensity throughout the day against the activity goal.
- Active Intensity Zones: Categorizes activity as light, moderate or vigorous based on heart rate and movement.
- Inactivity Alert: Appears after a period of inactivity and encourages an active break.
- Smart Calories: Provides an overview of daily calories burned using heart rate, wrist movement, weight and age.
- Energy Sources: Analyzes the use of fat, carbohydrates and protein during workouts and provides metabolic insights.
The watch also uses its health tracking sensors to monitor key vitals. Running Coach provides guided running and walking workouts from the wrist, including pacing guidance.

The moto watch ultra is Motorola’s first moto watch with LTE functionality, allowing users to make and receive calls, send text messages and manage notifications. It also supports Google Pay through Google Wallet after adding a supported card and includes dual-band GPS for navigation and location tracking.
The smartwatch runs Wear OS by Google and provides access to the Google Play Store, including apps such as YouTube Music, Google Maps, Google Messages and Google Gemini. It is also Motorola’s first wearable with built-in Motorola Qira on compatible Motorola and Lenovo devices, allowing users to raise their wrist or say “Hey Qira” to ask questions or access saved information from memory across compatible devices.
