Sony has scheduled its Xperia product launch event on Aug 25th, in which the company is expected to launch the new Xperia 10 VIII mid-range smartphone.
The background of the image features very straight and sharp outlines, reminiscent of the frames or edges of a smartphone’s glass panel. Compared to the Xperia 10 VII, the Xperia 10 VIII could feature a more angular (square) and solid form.
The phone with the model number XQ-GH54 has appeared in the Geekbench listing and was confirmed by Japanese media sumahodigest to be the Sony Xperia 10 VIII.
The listing reveals 871 points in single-core and 3028 points in multi-core tests on Geekbench 7.0. This revealed SM6475, which is the codename for Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, which will be the same as the Xperia 10 VII.
According to reports, the 2026 Xperia phones include two models starting with “XQ-GE” and “XQ-GH”, and this XQ-GH54 is believed to be the European version of the Xperia 10 VIII.
Sony’s new Xperia model will be announced on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM JST (7:30 AM IST), and we should know all the details at the launch.
