motorola just launched the motorola signature, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the new signature series in India, as it had promised.
Design and Display
The motorola signature distinguishes itself with an ultrathin profile, measuring just 6.99mm. The chassis is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum and features a “quad-curved” design.
Durability is a focal point of the build; the device is rated IP68 and IP69 for resistance against dust, high-pressure water, and submersion (up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes). It also adheres to MIL-STD-810H military standards for durability against environmental extremes. The front is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2.
The device features a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a variable refresh rate of up to 165Hz Super HD with peak brightness of up to 6200 nits, Pantone Validated with support for Dolby Vision®.
The phone is available in two Pantone-curated colorways with distinct finishes: Martini Olive: A golden-green hue with a twill-inspired finish and Carbon: A navy blue shade with a linen-inspired texture.
Camera System
The device is first in the category to feature four 50MP cameras, earning a Gold Label from testing firm DXOMARK. The system utilizes Sony’s LYTIA™ sensors across the board.
- Main Camera: 50MP Sony LYTIA™ 828 sensor (Motorola’s largest to date). Supports Dolby Vision video recording and 8K video capabilities.
- Telephoto: 50MP Periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, utilizing the Sony LYTIA™ 600 sensor. It supports up to 100x digital zoom (“Super Zoom Pro”) and has a 71mm equivalent focal length.
- Ultrawide: 50MP lens with a 122° field of view; also functions as a macro camera.
- Selfie Camera: 50MP Sony LYTIA™ 500 sensor with Quad Pixel technology and 4K video support.
Image processing is supported by the moto ai Photo Enhancement Engine, which manages noise reduction, color accuracy, and exposure adjustments.
Performance and Hardware
Internally, the motorola signature is powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform. Manufactured on a 3nm process, the chipset features a CPU capable of speeds up to 3.8 GHz.
Battery and Charging
Despite its thin profile, the device houses a 5200mAh silicon-carbon battery. This battery technology generally allows for higher energy density in smaller form factors compared to traditional lithium-ion cells. There is 90W TurboPower™ (claims “power for the day” in 7 minutes) and wireless charging supports up to 50W.
Software and Support
The motorola signature launches with Android 16. Motorola has committed to a long-term support window, offering up to seven years of Android OS upgrades and security updates.
The device also integrates “moto ai” features with expanded language support (including German, French, Polish, Romanian, Italian, and Japanese). Future updates are set to include “white-glove assistance,” a service offering users exclusive access to travel and lifestyle amenities.

The motorola signature is priced at Rs. 59,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, the 16GB + 512GB model costs Rs. 64,999 and the 16GB + 1TB model is priced at Rs. 69,999.
The phone will be available from Flipkart, motorola.in and offline stores starting from January 30th.
