Nothing has confirmed the launch of Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition at an event in London on December 9th, its first in-person event for a community edition.
The Phone (3a) Community Edition product was announced back in March this year to bring ideas to life across hardware design, accessory design, software design and marketing campaign.
The company said that it has received 700 applications, and it had 100s of catch-ups with the creators in the past 9 months of collaboration.
Nothing often uses Pokémon images as cryptic teasers for their products. The original Nothing Phone (3a) was previously hinted at with an image of a regular Arcanine. The use of a “Shiny” (alternate-colored, rare) version of Arcanine strongly suggesting a special, limited-edition variant of the device, which is the Community Edition.
The names visible around the image (Emre, Jad, Louis, Ambrogio, Sushruta) are the winners of the different stages of the Phone (3a) Community Edition Project 2025.
This year, winners will also receive a £1,000 (Rs. 1,19,480 approx.) cash prize, providing an added incentive for talented individuals and teams to showcase their skills.
Nothing has also provided a form link in their community page for a chance to be selected for entry to the in person launch event! Winners will be selected on 04 December. 13.00 GMT privately via email, it added.
