Rovio

Rovio, the creators of the popular Angry Birds franchise has announced Accounts that would let you sync the progress of your game online so that you can start a game on a device, and continue it on another device. If there are several users on the same device, they can all have their own saved game. You can also combine saved games from several devices. You just need an email address to create an account, but you can also play the games without an account.

Rovio took this long to launch the game sync, which is the most important feature. Rovio has range of games in the Angry Birds franchise including the Angry Birds Classic, Angry Birds SeasonsAngry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Space, Angry Birds Star Wars and Angry Birds Friends. Other than these, the company has released Bad Piggies, Amazing Alex and The Croods. The Angry Birds game for Windows Phone got updated with 100 news levels earlier this week and is free till May 15th.

Rovio is rolling out the Accounts feature gradually. It is currently available in The Croods game globally, and the classic Angry Birds game on iOS in Finland and Poland.
