Lumio raises $12 Million to drive R&D across devices and software, scale service support

Lumio, the consumer hardware brand under Circuit House Technologies, has secured $12 million (approximately ₹115 crore) in a fresh financing round. The capital injection was led by Blume Ventures as part of its Series A round, with follow-on participation from early backers Stellaris Venture Partners and 3one4 Capital.

The newly acquired funds are earmarked for expanding brand reach beyond its early enthusiast base, ramping up research and development across home hardware categories, advancing its proprietary software platform, and scaling post-purchase service operations.

Rapid Scale Across Home Entertainment Categories

Circuit House Technologies debuted the Lumio brand in early 2025 with an initial range of Smart TVs. Over the subsequent 18 months, the company diversified into three core product segments: Vision Smart TVs, Arc projectors, and Aura home audio speakers.

Commercial traction accelerated during this period. The company surpassed ₹100 crore in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) within 13 months of launch, positioning it among the fastest new home entertainment entrants in India to hit the threshold. Between April and August 2026, Lumio reported a three-fold year-on-year increase in GMV.

Currently, the brand services upwards of 35,000 households across more than 5,000 postal codes. According to company data, this growth was achieved without dedicated retail outlets or traditional television campaigns, with nearly half of its Smart TV customers transitioning from established, legacy consumer electronics brands.

Focus on R&D, Software, and Physical retail touchpoints

A significant portion of the fresh capital will be directed toward technical development. Lumio plans to deepen its current footprint in televisions, projectors, and audio systems while developing new connected-device categories designed for home environments.

Software development remains central to the brand’s positioning against legacy competitors. The company continues to invest in proprietary software features, notably its TLDR platform and Project Neo—an artificial intelligence-driven content discovery engine. Currently available in public beta across nine Indian languages, the recommendation platform is supported by multiple pending patent filings.

To broaden its customer acquisition pipeline beyond direct-to-consumer digital channels, the company intends to establish targeted physical retail touchpoints. These locations will function as experience hubs, allowing consumers to test hardware performance prior to purchase.

Scaling Customer Operations and Service Infrastructure

Alongside hardware and market expansion, Lumio plans to reinforce its operational supply chain and customer experience infrastructure. Planned upgrades include stricter end-to-end quality assurance protocols spanning factory production to last-mile logistics, alongside optimized cycles for new product introduction.

On the post-sales support front, the company aims to widen its service coverage. Lumio’s current field support network spans more than 300 service centers covering over 19,000 postal codes nationwide, with additional service partner integration scheduled over the coming quarters.

Commenting on this, Kailash Sankaranarayanan, Co-founder and COO, Circuit House Technologies, said:

In about a year and a half, we have shown we can build products Indian households want, across more than one category. This round lets us invest in the two things that compound: a brand people trust in their living room, and R&D that keeps bringing new categories and devices into the home.

Raghu Reddy, Co-founder and CEO, Circuit House Technologies, said:

The backing of our existing investors and the addition of Blume Ventures is a powerful endorsement of our mission to transform the living room experience, reflecting their shared belief in our vision and the progress we have made in a short span of time.

Sajith Pai, Partner at Blume Ventures, said:

India’s 30-35 million affluent households are reimagining their living rooms, and no longer default to legacy brands. Raghu and Kailash have leveraged their deep experience in home entertainment and customer insights to create a compelling home entertainment brand in Lumio, with nearly half of Lumio’s customers upgrading from legacy brands. They are amongst the most product-obsessed and capital-efficient founders we have met, and at Blume we are excited to back them and the Lumio team to create the next iconic home entertainment brand out of India.
