FiiO has launched the FG3, its first gaming headset, in India. The company has spent fifteen years developing headphones, in-ear monitors, portable amplifiers and music players. The FG3 marks FiiO’s entry into the gaming headset segment.
The FG3 uses 50mm and 16mm dynamic drivers mounted coaxially, with an electronic two-way crossover. The 50mm driver handles mid and low frequencies, while the 16mm driver handles high frequencies. A dual-core DSP handles audio processing, while the DAC supports up to 192kHz/24-bit decoding and the dedicated headphone amplifier delivers up to 80mW of output power.
The headset offers six audio modes, with 7.1 virtual surround available in Cinema and ACT modes:
- FPS: Focuses on footsteps and positional cues while reducing explosive rumble.
- ACT: Adds impact and weight to action-game audio.
- MOBA: Highlights ability cues and voice clarity.
- MUG: Tuned for rhythm games, timing and bass precision.
- Cinema: Opens the soundstage for films.
- Music: Provides a balanced listening profile.
FPS, MOBA and MUG modes do not use surround processing. Modes can be switched with a single press on the inline control, which has a colour-coded indicator. For customization, FIIO Control WEB provides browser-based settings without driver or client software, along with a 10-band custom EQ and locally saved profiles.
For communication, the detachable ENC microphone filters ambient noise such as keyboard clicks, mouse taps and room sounds. Hardware-processed real-time microphone monitoring, or sidetone, can be toggled and adjusted through FIIO Control WEB. The microphone can be removed for music or films, while the inline control also includes a dedicated mute button with a red indicator.
On the hardware side, the FG3 features a foldable frame, stainless-steel headband and swappable woven mesh earpads over memory foam. The closed-back over-ear design provides room-noise isolation, while the mesh material is designed for breathability and sweat resistance. It comes with a braided Type-C cable and USB-A adapter and supports adaptive UAC 1.0/2.0 switching.

The FiiO FG3 is available in India exclusively from Headphone Zone for Rs. 6,999. It comes with a one-year FiiO warranty covering manufacturing defects.
