motorola has confirmed the launch of razr fold, the company’s first book-style foldable smartphone, in India on May 13th, after it was introduced at the CES earlier this year and started rolling out recently.
When closed, the device features a 6.56-inch external display. Upon opening, the device reveals an 8.1-inch 2K LTPO display. There is 50MP triple rear camera setup, a 32MP external and 20MP internal selfie camera,.
Notably, it is the first smartphone to feature Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3, which Motorola states provides a 75% improvement in drop performance compared to previous generations.
The razr fold is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform. It runs Android 16, and motorola is promising long-term software support with up to 7 Android OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates.
The phone is equipped with a high-capacity 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery. For charging, it supports 80W TurboPower wired charging alongside 50W TurboPower wireless charging.
The motorola razr fold will come in Pantone Blackened Blue and Pantone Lily White and will be available in 12GB + 256GB storage and 16GB + 512GB storage versions. It will be available from Flipkart, motorola.in and offline stores after the launch.
