Sony Xperia Ion announced at CES , Coming to AT&T


AT&T has just announced the Xperia Ion at its CES keynote event. The Android smartphone sports a 4.6″ HD 720p display. The camera is a 12MP unit equipped with Sony’s proprietary Exmor R technology for better low light capabilities. 16GB of inbuilt storage will be available on the LTE equipped device.


A dual core 1.5Ghz processor powers the show here. The Ion is Playstation Certified and will allow users to play PS1 classics and PSN minis. The phone launches with Gingerbread onboard but the Android 4.0 ie ICS update is expected later this year. The Xperia Ion will be sold under the Sony brand on AT&T in the US.
