realme 12 Pro series launch date expected on January 3

realme has started testing the launch of its next realme 12 Pro series, and the company says “Our upcoming surprise is designed to elevate your understanding of the latest technology” along with the image that says “No periscope. No flagship.”

This hints that the realme 12 Pro series will bring back the telephoto camera, and for the first time the mid-range realme phone could feature a periscope telephoto camera. The realme 6 Pro which was launched back in 2020 had a 12MP telephoto sensor, but the company removed it in realme 7 Pro, so it looks like the telephoto camera is coming back.

realme India posted a teaser on its social channels that asks people to wait for the real update along with an image with a morse code that translates to “MAKE IT REAL” and the date January 3rd 7:30AM IST.  The realme global also has the same date and time, so the global launch is expected to happen in India.

The realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ with the model numbers RMX3842 and RMX3840 received BIS certification in December, so we could see the phones as early as this month. Based on rumours, the realme GT5 Pro global launch could happen at the MWC 2024 next month, so the India launch could take time.

We should know more details about the realme 12 Pro series in a couple of days to see what the company has to offer.
