Apple schedules ‘Scary fast’ event on October 30 — New Macs expected

Apple has officially announced its October 30th event, teasing ‘Scary fast’, after several rumors. The invite has an Apple logo on a black background that mimics Mac Finder icon, so we can expect new Macs. This will be an online pre-recorded event.

The Macs are expected to feature new processors, but major design changes aren’t likely. There might be some minor improvements to their displays, according to recent rumours. This event might include the release of a refreshed 24-inch iMac model.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro, 14-inch MacBook Pro, and 16-inch MacBook Pro could get refreshed with new chips.

The next-generation MacBook Air models with M3 chips are expected only in early 2024. Additionally, a larger ‘pro’ version of the iMac with a 32-inch display and a new design is expected sometime in late 2024 or 2025.

New iPads including 11th-generation iPad, seventh-generation iPad Mini, and sixth-generation iPad Air are expected only in March 2024, so the event should focus only on Macs.

The Apple event will be streamed live on its website, on YouTube, and through the Apple TV app. The event starts at 5PM PT on October 30th (5:30 AM IST on October 31st).
