Nothing Phone (1) to get Android 14 Beta 1 soon

At the beginning of this month, Google launched the Android 14 Beta 1 update, catering to developers and early-adopters. Currently, the Pixel series has already started to seed the Android 14 Beta to qualifying devices.

Moreover, Nothing has recently confirmed that the first beta version of the software will be available soon on its Phone (1) smartphone, making it among the first non-Google devices to receive an independent preview phase.

Nonetheless, other OEMs have not confirmed their access to the update, and Google will unveil the new features during the Google I/O event on May 10.

It’s also important to mention that the Android 13 Beta 1 and Android 14 Beta 1 updates were timely released for Phone (1). The Nothing Phone (1) devices have been running on the Nothing OS 1.5 based on Android 13 since mid-February.

By obtaining early access to the Android 14 Beta 1, the Nothing product team can ensure seamless integration of the upgrade with the Nothing OS, delivering a smooth user experience.

This could also lead to the timely launch of the stable Nothing OS update later this year, coinciding with the launch of the upcoming Nothing Phone (2) in the following months.
