Google Pixel foldable could feature a 5.8″ cover display, launch in Q4 2022

Ross Young, a famous Display Industry analyst, has shared some display specifications of the upcoming Google Pixel Fold and  Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4. He claims that Pixel Fold will have a smaller cover display than Galaxy Fold4.

Google Pixel Fold will have a smaller 5.8″ cover display with wider aspect ratio like the Oppo Find N. Conversely, Galaxy Z Fold4 might come with a 6.19″ cover display with the same taller aspect ratio like its predecessor.

According to previous rumours, the Google foldable smartphone will be powered by a Google Tensor chip, but it may not feature the 50MP Samsung GN1 sensor used in the Pixel 6 series. Instead, the foldable is believed to employ a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 sensor, which is also supposed to be included in the Google Pixel 6a, which is expected to be released in May. It is also claimed to be equipped with a 12MP Sony IMX386 ultra-wide camera and an 8MP Sony IMX355s front-facing camera.

Apart from these specifications, he didn’t reveal much about the display department. The Google Pixel Fold is expected to launch sometime in Q4 2022.
