Microsoft to add Xbox Game Pass Ultimate support for iOS and Windows in 2021

Microsoft has recently been pushing hard with their game subscription Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, bundling it with the latest Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S through the Xbox All Access service. Microsoft has now announced that Game Pass Ultimate support will be coming to Windows and iOS in 2021.

Game subscription services have been a mess on iOS, as Apple has denied permission for this category of apps on the App Store. However, it seems like Microsoft found a workaround by bringing Game Pass Ultimate through a mobile web browser. It will be interesting to see if the gaming experience will be limited because of it running on a browser, and also will Apple find a way to block this work around.

Along with support for iOS, Microsoft is also bringing the Game Pass Ultimate to Windows in 2021. Users can access it either via the Xbox app for Windows or through a browser.

And finally, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will soon be available in a few more countries, namely Australia, Brazil, Japan and Mexico.
