Mulo Soultrip 500 in-Ear Earphones Review

Mulo is the new Kolkata-based audio brand that launched speakers and earphones. It recently launched the Soultrip 500, which is its budget in-Ear Earphones. The company says that this will offer rich bass, clean treble and crisp vocals. Is this worth the price? Let us dive into the review to find out.

The earphones come in a small box which has two additional set of ear tips in small and large sizes, and the medium-sized ear tips are already installed in the earphones.

Design

Sound reproduction is paramount when talking about audio products but design is also important. Starting with the build quality, the earphones are made of alluminium alloy offering a premium look and feel. You can see MULO branding on both the earbuds. Right and Left earbuds are marked clearly. The 45° angled in-ear design offers a comfortable fit and offers decent passive noise isolation. It doesn’t slip out of ears during workout or runs since it fits in your ears perfectly. Just remember to choose the right set of ear tips according to your ear canal size. There are no issues even when you use the earphones for longer period.

The earphones have standard cable, and doesn’t come with a braided cable, which you can’t expect in this budget. The strength of the cable is decent, but could have been better.

It has an in-build microphone with a one button remote to attend or disconnect calls. There are not volume controls, which again is not expected in this budget segment. There is separator for the left and right ear cable. The earphones have 3.5mm gold-plated L-shaped jack, so that is particularly robust

Audio Performance

The earphones have 10mm high precision dynamic drivers that promises balanced audio that strikes clean treble sound, crisp vocals, extended highs and a rich bass. The 1M301 Mulo Soultrip 500 offers good bass, which is moderate yet tight and very controlled.  At the same time treble and vocal are very well-balanced. Like the mids, the highs too are clear, but the  earphones shine especially in bass-heavy songs, as the tagline “Super Rich Bass”.

Coming to the microphone quality. During calls, voice was clearly audible without much of background interference.

Conclusion

The Mulo Soultrip 500 are not just good-sounding earphones, they have good build too in this budget. Yes, these don’t have braided cables, and lack in-line volume control, but in the price range, this is a worthy consideration if you are looking for a good entry-level in-ear earphones with good audio quality, especially bass. Priced at an MRP of Rs. 999, the Soultrip 500 from Mulo is available for Rs. 449 (MOP) and sometimes goes down to Rs. 399 on Amazon.in as a part of lightning deal.
