Telegram v5.10 update brings Silent Messages, Slow Mode for Groups, Admin Titles and more

Telegram has been introducing new features to its platform recently like ultra-lightweight high-quality animated stickerscomplete control over users private conversation and more. Now, with the v5.10 update, Telegram is introducing Silent Messages, Slow Mode, Admin Titles feature and more.

Silent Messages

Telegram is bringing Silent Messages feature where users can simply hold the Send button and choose to deliver the message or media without sound and the receiver will get a notification as usual, but their phone won’t make a sound even if they forgot to enable the Do Not Disturb mode.

Slow Mode

Secondly, with the new Slow Mode, users will only be able to send one message per the interval that the admin chose and there is a timer that will show how long the user has to wait before sending their next message. This can be found under the ‘Group Permissions’ section and will be useful for group admins when the group they manage is getting hard to follow.

Admin Titles

With the ‘Admin Titles’ feature, group owners can now set custom titles for admins and custom titles are shown with every message in the group so members know that they‘re talking to the designated person.

Animated Emoji

Now users can also get animated emoji and it can be viewed by just sending a single ❤️, 👍, 😒, 😳 or 🥳 emoji to any chat. The attachment menu in Android has got a facelift too which shows larger thumbnails that make it easier to pick photos and videos at a glance and swiping up will reveal your full Gallery for better browsing.

Accent Colors for Night Mode and Comments Widget

iOS users now get an option to choose accent colors for night themes and with the ‘Comments.App’ users can now add a comments widget to their website and can also subscribe to comments and get notifications from ‘DiscussBot’.
