Asus has already started sending out media invites for its event at the MWC 2018 which is scheduled for later this month. It is widely expected that the company would unveil the Zenfone 5 series going by the teaser image. Today we are seeing the brief details of the smartphone in the leaked manual.

The Zenfone 5 leaked in the manual bears a model number “ASUS X00PD”, and also shows the design of the phone to an extent. Catching up with the trend looks like Asus is also going all-in with the 18:9 aspect ratio, curved edges, and exposed antenna lines. On the rear, you can see the dual rear cameras something which is not new to Asus, but the arrangement resembles that of the iPhone X.

Along with the rear cameras, the back also houses the fingerprint sensor. Up front, you have the 5.7-inches Full HD+ 18:9 display with slightly curved corners. On the right, you have the volume rockers and power button, while the SIM tray is present on the left. The top has the 3.5mm audio jack and the microUSB port along with speaker grills are present on the bottom.

Moving to the specifications, according to the Geekbench results, the Zenfone 5 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor, 3GB RAM, and Android 8.0 Oreo, so this might be a budget model. Like always, Zenfone 5 won’t be the only model that Asus will introduce, we can expect at least 3 models; the regular variant, the Max model, and a selfie-centric phone. Since we are inching closer to the event, we should hear more details as we inch closer.
