Apple has rolled out iOS 11.0.2 update for iPhone and iPad that includes fixes for crackling earpiece issue on iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, as Apple had promised, after reports from users. This also fixes couple other issues and more bug fixes and improvements. This comes after the iOS 11.0.1 update last week that brought several bug fixes and improvements.
iOS 11.0.2 update changelog
- Fixes an issue where crackling sounds may occur during calls for a small number of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus devices
- Addresses an issue that could cause some photos to become hidden
- Fixes an issue where attachments in S/MIME encrypted emails would not open
The iOS 11.0.2 update is about 280MB in size that varies depending on the device and is already available over-the-air (OTA). It is compatible with iPhone 5s and later, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models, iPad 5th generation, iPad mini 2 and later and iPod touch 6th generation.
