This week Honor launched Honor 8 Lite in India, Asus Zenfone Go 5.5 was also launched, Micromax launched Canvas 2 (2017), nubia launched M2 Lite and much more. Let’s take a look at all the announcements and launches that made news this week.

Huawei’s Honor brand just launched Honor 8 Lite, its latest smartphone in the Honor series in India. It packs a 5.2-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, is powered Kirin 655 processor with with i5 coprocessor, runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.0, has a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has fingerprint sensor on the glass back, brushed metal finish on the sides and has a 7.6mm slim body.

The Honor 8 Lite is priced at Rs. 17,999 and will be available through all Honor partner stores offline across India.

Asus Zenfone Go 5.5

Asus launched Zenfone Go 5.5 (ZB552KL), latest smartphone in the Zenfone Go series in India. It has a 5.5-inch HD screen, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 4G LTE connectivity, comes with dual SIM support and packs a 3000mAh battery, compared to 2500mAh battery in the Zenfone Go 5.0.

The Asus Zenfone Go 5.5 (ZB552KL) comes in Black color in India, is priced at Rs. 8,499 and is available from Amazon.in.

nubia M2 lite

nubia M2 Lite, the company’s latest smartphone in the latest ‘M2 Series’ was launched in India. It has a 5.5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with nubia UI 4.0 on top. It has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with ISOCELL CMOS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 79.8-degree wide-angle lens and a soft LED flash. It also has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF.

The Nubia M2 Lite comes in Black Gold color, is priced at Rs. 13999 and is available exclusively on Amazon.in.

Micromax launched Canvas 2 (2017) it’s latest smartphone in the Canvas lineup. It is using the same Canvas 2 name that was introduced back in 2012. This has a 5-inch HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, is powered by a Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, has a fingerprint sensor on the front.

The Micromax Canvas 2 2017 comes in Black color and is priced at Rs. 11,999. It is available from offline stores, comes with free 1GB 4G data per day and unlimited calling (400 minutes calling free per day with a cap of 1500 minutes per week (Max usage) to any network in India for one year for Airtel users and 1 Year of screen replacement.

Motorola HK115

Motorola HK255 and Motorola HK115 Bluetooth Headsets were launched in India. Both the headsets come with TrueComfort technology and an easy to use control switches. They offer connectivity of more than 300ft from the connected smartphone. In addition, the headsets offer Integrated Multi Point Technology, using which 2 smartphones can be connected simultaneously with the Bluetooth Headsets. They come with built-in buttons to control volume, music and calls. Both the headsets offer more than 8.5 hours of talk time and 10 days of standby time.

The Motorola HK 115 and Motorola HK 255 both come in black color and priced at Rs 1999 and Rs 2499 respectively. The products are available onAmazon.in.

Intex launched a new smartphone in its Aqua series. The company has released Aqua A4 that runs Android 7.0 Nougat and supports 4G VoLTE. It sports a 4-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The phone comes pre-installed with apps like QR Code reader, Gaana, Xender and others. The Intex Aqua A4 comes in Black color and is price at Rs. 4,199.

Intex Aqua Crystal Plus

Intex launched Aqua Crystal+, the company’s latest budget smartphone in the Aqua series with 4G VoLTE support. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, glass back and a 2100mAh built-in battery. The Intex Aqua Crystal+ comes in Black color, is priced at Rs. 6799 and is available exclusively from Amazon.in.

ZTE Blade X Max

ZTE announced Blade X Max, the company’s latest smartphone in the Blade series in the U.S. It packs a 6-inch 1080p display with Dragontrail Glass protection, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 435 processor, runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The ZTE Blade X Max comes in Blue color, is priced at $149.99 (Rs. 9,650 approx.)

Karbonn Aura 4G

Karbonn Mobiles has launched Aura 4G, the company’s latest budget smartphone with 4G VoLTE support. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core processor, runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Karbonn Aura 4G comes in Blue-Champagne and Coffee-Champagne colors, is priced at Rs. 5,290 and comes with a free protective cover.

Amazon introduced its next generation smart speaker dubbed as Amazon Echo Show. It sports a 7-inch touchscreen display and is powered by Alexa smart voice assistant. It has the ability to make and receive video calls with the 5MP camera. In terms of music, you can see lyrics on-screen with Amazon Music, play a song, artist or genre, and stream over Wi-Fi. Also, stream music on Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, and more. The device comes with eight microphones, beam-forming technology, and noise cancellation.  It is powered by Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor. You can activate Echo Show by simply saying “Alexa”

The Amazon Echo Show comes in black and white versions. It will cost $229.99 and is available for preorder now.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and 630Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 630 high-end Mobile Platforms. The Snapdragon 660 is the first processor in the lineup to come with Kryo CPU that promises 20% better performance compared to Snapdragon 653. It also has new Adreno 512 GPU that offers 30% better performance compared to Adreno 510 and the new Adreno 508 GPU on the Snapdragon 630 offers 30% better performance compared to 506. The Snapdragon 630 uses the same Cortex A53 CPUs.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 is now available for consumers and are expected in device this quarter. The Snapdragon 630 will be available for customers by the end of May and the 630 powered GPUs are expected in Q3 2017.

Panasonic Eluga Ray

Panasonic launched P85, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘P Series’ and the Eluga Ray, its latest phone in ‘Ray series’ in India. Both the phones have a 5-inch HD display, 4000mAh battery, 4G VoLTE support and run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).

The Eluga Ray also has Arbo virtual assistant that uses artificial intelligence to track and learn your daily life activity patterns, prompting you to do things as per your timings. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the front and has a metal body.

Panasonic P85

The Panasonic P85 comes in Grey and Gold colors and is priced at Rs. 6,499, while the Eluga Ray comes in Space Grey, Gold and Rose Gold colors and is priced at Rs. 7999. Both the phones will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting May 15th during its Big 10 Sale.
