Earlier this month Google confirmed that it is working on new Google Voice. Now, the company has given Google Voice a major overhaul with refreshed design and new features. The update is first major one in five years for the service.

Google Voice for Android, iOS and Web will get a fresh look with leaner, more intuitive design. The inbox has separate tabs for text messages, calls and voicemails while conversations now stay in one continuous thread, so you can see all your messages from each of your contacts in one place. Google Voice now gets support for group and photo MMS as well as in-notification replies. The company said it will provide more new updates and features to the Google Voice apps in future. If you are currently using Hangouts for your Google Voice communication, you will not need to change to the new apps. However, Google is suggesting users to try out the new features of Google Voice.
