The End of Motorola Droid is near?

According to a screenshot leaked over at Droidforums, which is showing that Verizon has added the Motorola Droid in ” End of Life” devices list, in which Nokia Twist, BlackBerry 9630, several Samsung devices, and Gateway laptop is added. I don’t care about other devices, but I think Motorola could not discontinue their best device ever.
We heard rumors that Motorola will be launching Android 2.2 later this Summer, and later this Summer, Verizon will be launching the Motorola Droid 2. Well, I am not feeling bad, because if Verizon is planning to remove Droid, then there is a good reason behind it. The reason is Droid 2, Verizon want to remove it and want to bring Droid 2 as the successor of the Original Droid. Recently, we saw Droid 2 in Verizon Summer Catalog, which means that the device will be out in late Summer. Motorola Droid is a grandpa as compared to the strong line of Android handsets on Verizon, Droid Incredible, Droid X, and the upcoming Droid 2 will make a very great combination. All 3 phones are powered by a 1 Ghz processor, and original Droid is running an old slow processor, but still Motorola Droid will be known as the most selling device on the Verizon Wireless. Even if Verizon is discontinuing it, I hope they will not forget the Android 2.2, because there are million of people out their who are using this phone. I have been using a Motorola Droid, and I experienced that Android 2.1 runs very slow on the Droid. Android 2.1 is a heavy build as compared to the Android 2.2. Android 2.2 is much lighter, and more faster than Android 2.1, that’s why it runs like a flying horse on the Nexus One.
