Twitter India and South East Asia MD Parminder Singh quits

Earlier this week, Twitter India Head Rishi Jaitly announced his exit. Now, the micro-blogging site’s Managing Director for Southeast Asia, MENA and India, Parminder Singh has quit the company after a 3 year stint.

Singh announced his exit via series of tweets. He also confirmed that the India and South East Asia region, which is now aligned to the Asia Pacific region, will be headed by Maya Hari. Prior to joining Google, Singh was working with Google India as business head before joining Twitter in November 2013. Singh had quit Google India as the director of the online media sale in Asia Pacific region. The Middle East North Africa (MENA) region will be handled by Benjamin Ampen.

Twitter has been laying off its employees and has slashed approximately 9% of its global workforce.
