OPPO just announced its flagship R9s and R9s Plus smartphones at an event in China. The OPPO R9s has a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 1.66mm ultra-narrow frame and 77.5% screen-to-body ratio and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor, while the OPPO R9s Plus comes with a 6-inch 1080p display with 1.78mm narrow bezel, 79% screen-to-body ratio and is powered by the latest Octa-Core Snapdragon 653 processor.
Both the smartphones run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with ColorOS 3.0, have a 16-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX398 sensor, f/1.7 aperture with Dual PDAF (phase detection autofocus) technology and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The R9s Plus also has OIS+ support. Both these have unibody metal design, fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button and VOOC flash charge that will offer 2 hours of talk time with just 5 minutes for charge.

The OPPO R9s and R9s Plus come in Gold, Rose Gold and Black colors and are priced at 2799 yuan (US$ 415 / Rs. 27,680 approx.) and 3499 yuan (US$ 519 / Rs. 34,590 approx.), respectively. The OPPO R9s is now available for order in China and goes on sale from October 28th. The OPPO R9s Plus will be available in December. OPPO said that the R9s will be available soon in Singapore, Australia and Taiwan, but no word on the India launch yet.
