ZTE Axon Pro starts receiving Android Marshmallow 6.0 update


ZTE had launched Axon Pro smartphone with Android Lollipop 5.1 in October last year in the US. Now, the company is rolling out Android Marshmallow 6.0 update to the phone.

With the Marshmallow update, the ZTE Axon Pro will get features such as doze mode, now on tap and new app drawer. The doze mode will put your phone to sleep when not in use for a long time which results in an increased battery life. Next up, the now no tap feature provides you with detailed information by simply long pressing on the home button. You can use this feature while surfing the web, checking email or other activities to get a detailed information. Finally, the update brings a revamped app drawer with new enhancements that makes it quicker and easier to find the app. Also included in alphabetic scrolling and pinning your most used apps at the top.

The upgrade weighs around 835 MB and hence is advised to connect your device to WiFi network. In order to install the update head to Settings -> About phone -> System updates -> System updates -> Update Now. ZTE said that the Marshmallow update is only available for Axon Pro.
