The new Opera Mini for Android brings a new feature called Night Mode. It is designed to reduced the strain on your eyes when you browse the web in a dark environment.

According to studies conducted recently, the blue/violet light that is emitted from smartphones can have a harmful impact on your sleep patterns. The blue/purple light has been found to disrupt your sleeping and keeps you awake. Since light is a biological cue that tells our body what time it is, having a lot of blue light emitted to your eyes gives it the impression that it is still daytime.

Hence it keeps your body from completely relaxing and getting into a state of sleep easily. This is where the Night Mode steps in. The Opera Mini browser allows you to dim the screen further beyond the natural low setting and also allows you to change the color tone from blue/violet to red/orange. The colors are more pleasing to the eye hence reduces strain and won’t keep you up at night.

All you have to do is go to settings and choose to enable the night mode. If you wish to resume back to normal browsing, you just have to disable it once again and you’re good to go. You can download the new Opera Mini for Android from the source below.
