Verizon announces Motorola Droid PRO and Motorola Droid 2 Global

Motorola and Verizon officially announced the Motorola Droid Pro back in October, but Verizon didn’t give us any information about the Motorola Droid Pro. Now Verizon has officially announced that they will launch the Motorola Droid Pro on November 18th for $179.99, and now the device is up for pre-order. Motorola Droid Pro is an Android powered phone, and it’s especially made to defeat Blackberry smartphones. Motorola Droid Pro features 1GHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera, runs Android 2.2 Froyo and has WiFi b/g/n.

Verizon also announced the Motorola Droid 2 Global along with the Droid Pro. The Motorola Droid Pro comes in two colors, white and grey. Motorola Droid 2 Global is a global version of the Droid 2, and it features Android 2.2. What makes it different from the Droid 2 is the 1.2 GHz processor, which is a tad faster than the Droid 2. Verizon will launch the device on November 18th along with the Droid Pro, and it’s going for $199.99. Motorola Droid 2 Global comes with slide-out QWERTY keyboard, supports global 3G HSDPA/HSUPA networks, 3.7-inch 854 x 480 pixel touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera, 3G hotspot support, and more.
