Earlier today, Asus slashed prices of its Zenfone 3 series. Now, the company has started rolling out Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) and (ZC520TL) models. Asus shared the update information via its Asus ZenTalk forum.
The Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for Asus ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) bumps the phone from Marshmallow. The changelog does not specify details about the update but the version number is 14.0200.1704.119 versus. As the update has just started to rollout, it will take about one week to become available to all devices.
Meanwhile, Asus ZenFone 3 Max (ZC520TL) has started receiving Android 7.O Nougat update instead of the Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It is believed that the there must be a typo as it is not sure why Asus will roll out Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for one device and not other. e update changelog mentions the update version number 14.01.1705.23.
