My dad was searching for a replacement for the samsung dual sim phone. the durability is nowhere close to nokia. his call cancel button has stopped working, so he cant cut a call. and there is no other button that does the job. and the software too is not too user freindly.

a report on another site claimed Nokia c2 PRICE IS AROUND rS.5500 instead of ~Rs.3500 announced initially.Any news on this?if it is indeed true I would recommend going for Micromaxx or other low price dual sim mobiles.quality would be almost equal whether it is Nokia or others because this is a low cost model

And at last Nokia also have come up with the dual sim phones. It was with such a great anticipation that we welcome the Nokia handsets to India. As far as I have heared about Nokia C1 and C2. C1 doesnot support the call waiting while the Nokia C2 does support call waiting.

Yester day on 05/10/2010 I received one SMS from a friend informing me that “NOKIA introduced new C 1-100 model colour phone with dual sim and FM. Price Rs.1999/-. Next month it is coming to market.This message is for advertisement and forward it to 20 people and get recharge for Rs.100/-. Check balance after 5 minutes”. Out of curiosity,I forwarded it to 20 persons,but no recharge was received even as on today(6/10/2010). I lost about Rs.20/- unnecessarily. Why this farce afterall by a reputed company like NOKIA? Is it meant for deceiving people and earning money? Now NOKIA should reimburse my money.Please reply.

What a cheating~~!!!! C1 is not a dual sim phone. only we can keep one more sim inside the phone and can use without switch off. C1 is a single sim phone. NO DUAL STANDBY,,,,,, NO DUAL ACTIVE,,,,,,,,,,, NO DUAL CALL WAITING. when activate one sim, the another will be switched off. I request NOKIA to remove the word “DUAL” from all ads about C1.

Nokia C-200 has dual sim & Internet as well. But its not yet released in the market. There is also a phone Champ Duos E2652 worth 4500 bucks which is internet,Dual sim and touch.

Boss If you want Nokia dual sim heavy speakers then wait for Nokia X-01(available in overseas not India right now) or go for any of the Micromax dual sim phones which have yamaha speakers or you can go for samsung phones which are traditionally known for good speakers(guru series).

After long time when others have already started re-defining their older Dual models. Nokia is the best which every one knows, but i don’t understand what took it so long to enter Dual’s.
That too, after such a long break in this segment it should sure have launched a – “Dual Sim CDMA+ GSM phone” which is a good combination in huge demand.
If it had to launch “C1 series & X1 series” it should have gone a CDMA model in at’least one model.
It should not delay any more for next CDMA+GSM dual’s. Or else it might pay the price for its customers are switching to other companies handsets.

I really liked the look of C2 06(dual sim,slider,touch) but like other good Nokia mobiles its still not launched. 8-(
Talking about dual sim(GSM+CDMA), which is the best one. Frankly most of the world uses GSM as it has some advantages with it namely for roaming GSM has best coverage, If one frequently changes phone then he shall use GSM as he doesn’t need to enter personal data again.
But CDMA is good for those who want better data transfer speed.
But we Indians choose service providers for signal,sms & call cost plans. So GSM is majority.

But for those people who want good GSM & CDMA handset Samsung Duos W259 is the best buy as it is OMH enabled.

Mostly there will be a dedicated sim switch Key on the side. Some mobiles are dual standby while some are dual active while some are neither.
In dual standby one can Speak through both SIM cards simultaneously by holding existing call without disconnecting it while smses comes from both.
Nokia has one unique feature when it comes to dual sim i.e One of the SIM card is hot-swappable, meaning it can be removed and inserted when the phone is on.
difference between dual standby and dual active.

Dual active mean if you are talking using sim1 & if at same time someone trying to call you on sim2 than he/she will get busy tone or “user is busy message”. ONLY samsung have same dual sim dual active phones.

If phone is dual sim but not dual active than in above condition, caller of sim2 will get “phone switch off” message or “nothing” (no record message or anything).

I like Nokia phones. But changed to other brands as they were not ready to introduce dual sim phones.
Want to know whether it is possible to get calls on both sim cards at a time as in the case of other brands.

You are bang on. Thats why I got samsung. I waited for 2 months after got tired. Yes its possible to keep one call on hold and switch to other sim card and pick the call with the key.

There is Network Problem in Dual Sim Nokia C2 mobile and the other fault is Primary sim necessary otherwise secondary sim does not work. If u r using anyone sim the network of other disappear.
