Google announced three new features for Photos at the I/O 2017 conference that are aimed at making sharing easy. Google Photos is getting suggested sharing, shared albums and photo books.

Up first, Google Photos is getting suggested sharing that will use machine learning technology to automatically select the right photos, and even suggest who you should send them to based on who was in the photos. For example you if you have few photos of a friend from his birthday party, Google will suggest you to send those photos to that friend. All the sharing activities and suggestions will be seen in a new Sharing tab, which will be rolling out on Android, iOS and web in the coming weeks.

Next up, Google is also bringing shared libraries to Google Photos. With Shared Libraries, you can automatically send and receive photos with one other person by giving them access to your full photo library. You can also share only photos of certain people or from a certain date forward. Similarly, when others share their library with you, you can automatically save the photos you want so they also show up in search and in the movies, collages and other fun creations.

Finally, photo books will allow you to take a number of your photos and transform them into physical, giftable books. Once you select the photos, Google Photos will find the best shots for you by removing duplicates and poor quality images.

Google revealed that more than 500 million people use Google Photos every month, backing up more than 1.2 billion photos and videos per day.
