This week OPPO launched its much anticipated F3 Plus smartphone with dual cameras, Xiaomi launched Redmi 4A, Gionee launched A1. Let’s take a look at all the announcements and launches that took place this week.

OPPO launched F3 Plus, the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone in the ‘F Series’. The main highlight of the smartphone is its 16-megapixel front-facing camera  with 1/3.1-inch sensor and f/2.0 aperture along with an 8-megapixel secondary front camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens for capturing better group selfies. It also has a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX398 sensor and dual phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) technology.

It has a 6-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 653 processor, has 4GB of RAM and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with ColorOS 3.0 on top. It has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button that works even when your fingers are moist.

The OPPO F3 Plus comes in Gold and Black colors and is priced at Rs. 30,990. It will go on sale from April 1st, both online and offline across India. Pre-orders has already started on Amazon.in, Flipkart and other retailers.

OnePlus 3T Midnight Black

OnePlus announced Midnight Black version of the OnePlus 3T smartphone. This limited edition of the OnePlus 3T is hewed out of the same space-grade aluminum that lent the original OnePlus 3 and 3T devices. OnePlus 3T Midnight Black will be available exclusively with 128 GB of storage. It will be available in India through Amazon.in and oneplusstore.in at Rs. 34,999 starting at 2:00 PM on March 31st till stocks last.

Xiaomi launched Redmi 4A, its latest budget 4G smartphone in the Redmi series in India. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor and runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. 

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A comes in comes in Gray, Gold and Rose Gold colors, is priced at Rs. 5999 and will be available exclusively from Amazon.in and Mi.com. Check out the unboxing and first impressions here.

Gionee A1 (2 of 11)

Gionee launched  A1 selfie-focused smartphone in India for Rs. 19,999. The main highlight of the smartphone is its 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1/3.06″ sensor, selfie flash and face beauty features. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and has 4GB of RAM. The Gionee A1 comes in Gray, Black and Gold colors and will be available for pre-order starting March 31st.

nubia launched nubia Z11 miniS, the company’s latest smartphone in India, It packs a 5.2-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with nubia UI 4.0. It has a 23-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX318 sensor, LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) for quick focus in 0.1 seconds, and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. It has aircraft-grade aluminum unibody design and a fingerprint sensor on the back the can unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds.

The ZTE nubia Z11 miniS comes in Moon Gold and Khaki Grey colors in India and is priced at Rs. 16,999. It is available exclusively from Amazon.in.

LG launched Stylus 3, the company’s latest smartphone with a stylus pen in India. It packs a 5.7-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display and has a 1.8mm diameter fiber-tip stylus that promises feel and feedback of an actual pen when writing on the screen. It also has a fingerprint scanner and enhanced UX with Pen Pop 2.0 as well as the popular Pen Keeper and Screen-off Memo. The LG Stylus 3 comes in Metallic Titan color and is priced at Rs. 18,500 (MRP) in India.

Lava launched Z10 and Z25 smartphones in the new ‘Z series’. Both the phone have 8-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash. The Z10 has a 5-inch HD display with 1.9mm narrow bezel and the Z25 comes with a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display and 2mm narrow bezel. Z25 also has a fingerprint sensor on the back for unlocking  the phone in 0.16 seconds. The top-end Z25 has a unibody metal design and a hybrid SIM slot, while the Z10 comes with a removable metal back cover and has dedicated SIM slots. These phones have support for 11 Indian Languages.

The Lava Z10 comes in Gold color and is priced at Rs. 11,500 (MRP), and the Z25 comes in Champagne Gold and Grey colors and is priced at Rs. 18,000 (MRP)

 Jabra Talk 2

Jabra launched Jabra Talk 2, Bluetooth mono headset in India. It lets you easily connect to more than one device at the same time, is HD Voice ready which works on supported networks by offering crystal clear sound for calls. It has Bluetooth 4.0 technology for better wireless connectivity and automatically adjusts the volume to adapt to your environment and allows you to wirelessly stream multimedia.

The Jabra Talk 2 comes in Black color, is priced at Rs. 2099 (MRP) and will be available across India as well as Amzon.in later this March.

Micromax Spark Vdeo Q415

Micromax launched Spark Vdeo, its latest budget smartphone with 4G VoLTE support. It comes pre-loaded with Google Duo. It packs 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display and is powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The phone has 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD. Running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), it 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and 2MP front-facing camera.

The Micromax Spark Vdeo comes in Gold color, is priced at Rs. 4499 and is exclusively available from Snapdeal.

Ulefone Power 2

Ulefone, one of the popular smartphone makers in China introduced Ulefone Power 2, successor of the Ulefone Power. It has the same 6050mAh battery as the predecessor with support for 9V/2A fast charging that promises full charge in just 2 hours. It packs 5.5-inch 1080p screen, 4GB and 64GB internal storage. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the front that can unlock the phone in just 0.15 seconds and has a unibody metal design.

The Ulefone Power 2 Black, Grey and Golden colors and the pre-sales begin March 29 and costs $179.99 (Rs. 11,770 approx.) during this time. We should know the final price soon.

Sony Xperia L1

Sony announced Xperia L1, its latest smartphone in the ‘L series’. It packs a 5.5-inch HD display with narrow side bezels, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor, runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat), has a 13-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Sony Xperia L1 comes in Black, White and Pink colors. No details about the pricing of the phone yet.

Xiaomi Mi TV 4A-

Xiaomi introduced its Mi TV 4A series of TVs that includes 43-inch and 49-inch TVs with 1080p displays and 55-inch and 65-inch TVs with 4K HDR displays. All these have “Patch Wall”, a UI layer on top of the Android OS that’s based on deep learning AI technology. It can curate content based on recommendations. These also have Dolby and DTS Audio.

GUESS has introduced two smartwatches that run latest Android Wear 2.0. The new Guess Connect watches are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. The watches come in two 41mm and 44mm case sizes aimed at women and men respectively. As the watches support Android Wear 2.0, it comes with keyboard, Smart Reply, and handwriting recognition, Swipe, speak, text, track- all with touch technology.

Nubia N2

Nubia introduced three new smartphones – N2, M2 and M2 Lite in China. The Nubia N2 is the successor of last year’s N1 and packs a 5000mAh battery. The M2 has dual 13-megapixel rear cameras and the M2 Lite is a cheaper version of the M2 without the dual cameras.

Panasonic Eluga Pure

Panasonic introduced Eluga Pure, its latest budget smartphone in Taiwan. It packs a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass HD display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with FitHome UI. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The Panasonic Eluga Pure Titanium Grey color, is priced at NT$ 4,990, available for pre-order and ships starting from 27th March.
