The Redmi 4A has a 5-inch HD display at a pixel density of 296 PPI, which look good. There are the usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors on the top along with a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture next to the earpiece. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and runs on MIUI 8.1 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).

Even though it is a budget smartphone Xiaomi doesn’t miss out the Infrared sensor on the top for Remote function, but it has a hybrid dual SIM slot similar to the Redmi 3s series and the Redmi Note 4, so you can only use the secondary slot for SIM or microSD at a time. It is 8.5mm thick and weighs just 131.5 grams.

Unlike the Redmi 3s series this one has a polycarbonate body, even though it looks like metal, but the matte finish offers a nice feel and the phone is good to hold. It has a 13-megapixel camera on the back with single LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. The phone has 4G VoLTE support, similar to most other latest Xiaomi smartphones.

It has a 3120mAh built-in battery that promises up to 7 days of standby time, but it doesn’t have support for fast charging. In addition Grey, the phone also comes in Gold and Rose Gold colors. It is priced at Rs. 5999 and will be available exclusively from Amazon.in and Mi.com starting from this Thursday, 23rd March at 12PM, but you will have to wait till 6th April if you are looking to buy the Rose Gold version. We will bring you the complete review of the phone soon.
