Telegram messenger app has received new improvements in the latest update. The app on Android and iOS will now allow you to play media files from within the app and also let you search in chats.
The Telegram app will allow you to play media from YouTube, Vimeo or SoundCloud directly from the app. Just tap on the preview of a link to an external media to view the video or listen to the audio file without leaving the app. Moving on, the app lets users search for messages in specific chats. Users on iOS will have to tap on the name of the chat in while Android users will have to toggle the Actions menu. This will bring the number of occurrences of the keyword in the chat which can be navigated with the up/down arrows.
In addition, Android app gets a new attachment menu that allows you to share contacts, audios and recent photos. The Telegram app for Android had received Material Design update along with new features in November last year.
