Micromax teams up with MoFirst to offer local language support


Micromax has partnered with MoFirst solution to offer translation and transliteration services while messaging, and access to App Bazaar with 10,000 apps in local languages’, according to a report by The Economic Times.

Micromax is reportedly using the patented Swipe Technology from MoFirst Solutions to translate and transliterate messages in ten local languages, which includes Hindi to English and vice-versa. The App Bazaar has some of the most accepted apps such as Skype and Clean Master and several others in 10 local languages, including Tamil and Marathi, which cover 800 million people in India.

Mo First has publishing tie-ups with Microsoft, Gameloft, EA Games, Disney, Zapak and Sony Music among others for content and is working with app developers to increase the number of Indic apps on the App Bazaar. Micromax’s Canvas Unite 3, which was launched this month priced Rs 6,999, has Firstouch’s local language suite.
