HTC smartwatch codenamed PETRA, to run on custom OS


HTC is touted to unveil a smartwatch at MWC next month along with the One M9. Now popular leakster Upleaks has revealed some specs about the HTC smartwatch.

As per upleaks the HTC smartwatch will have a 1.8″ 32×160 POLED display. Codenamed as PETRA, the watch will apparently come in three sizes- S,M and L, weigh 23 gms and have a ST Micro STM32L151 chipset. Moving on, the smartwatch will not opt for the popular Android Wear and instead run on HTC’s custom OS.  It will sport a 3-day battery along with support for both Android (Android 4.4 or later), and iOS(7.0 or later). The HTC smartwatch will be available in two color combinations (teal and lime as well as black and blue-gray).

It will support Bluetooth and GPS and has features as Alarm, Timer, Stopwatch, Music Control, Camera Shuttor, Sleep Analysis, Sports Analysis/ see today’s schedule, weather, your phone’s notification. Upleaks also adds that the watch will come with footpad that can help it more accurate count steps.
