Twitter testing new feature that shows tweets from accounts your friends follow

Twitter is showing tweets to users from accounts their friends follow in a latest testing. The feature was first spotted by a Twitter users @aleefbaypay as he saw tweets from someone he does not follow but from some one his friends follow.

The user @aleefbaypay saw a tweet about Buzzfeed which he does not follow but someone he follows does. Hence, he is seeing these tweets on his timeline. The micro-blogging site always experiments with new features. However, the latest one is unwelcomed similar to Promoted Tweets. This feature might raise some eyebrows from users as they might not be interested in reading an unknown persons tweet. Also, it kind of pollutes your timeline with unnecessary content that is not relevant to the user.

It is not clear if and when will Twitter roll out the feature. We will keep our readers posted about the update.
