BBM for Windows Phone to be available for all next week


BBM for Windows Phone Beta

BlackBerry has announced that it would release the BBM app for Windows Phone to general public next week. The BBM beta app for the Windows Phone platform got 10,000 signups within 24 hours after the registrations began earlier this month, says BlackBerry. BBM app for the beta testers went live in the Windows Phone Store last week. The Windows Phone version has BBM features such as Feeds, Contacts and Chat.

Since BlackBerry started beta testing, it has been updating the app with new features and fixing bugs after hearing feedback from the users. Earlier this week the app got updated with transparent live tile, new UI for the picture preview window, option for adding captions to images you’re sharing, see the number of participants in a group and speed improvements.

BlackBerry plans to bring  stickers, BBM Voice, Channels and location sharing for its Windows Phone app in coming months. We will let you know when the BBM app goes live for everyone in the Windows Phone Store.
