iBerry Auxus Core X8 3G tablet Unboxing

iberry Auxus CoreX8 3G Unboxing-10

iBerry, a manufacturer known for earlier products like the Auxus Nuclea N1 and the Nuclea N2, is now into tablets, with the Auxus Core X8 3G being one of them. Like many of its products, the Auxus Core X8 borrows heavily from Samsung, in terms of design, and that is no surprise, considering how similar the Nuclea N2 looked, with respect to the Galaxy Note 3. Here is a small time manufacturer, trying to ride on a wave created by biggies, but in the end, for some, the product alone matters, and for the price it comes at, the Auxus Core X8 has some really decent specifications and options. So, lets see what it is like on video –

Here are the box contents, as shown on the video, laid out in a single image –

Box Contents

  • Auxus Core X8 in White
  • Proprietary power adapter
  • USB OTG cable
  • Micro USB cable for data transfer
  • Huawei SIM module
  • Startup guide and other information booklets

The tablet’s box contents are a bit different than the usual, as the Auxus Core X8 uses a detachable SIM module that goes right into the tablet, and then there is the proprietary power adapter.

The Auxus Core X8 is a 7.85 inch 4:3 tablet with a screen resolution of 1024×768. Sounds familiar? Well, it’s the old iPad mini’s screen and that’s exactly what the Core X8 wants to be like, but inside a shell that screams Samsung. The IPS display is rather nice, even at that lowly resolution, and the inclusion of a powerful Exynos 5 Octa processor is good enough for keeping things smooth at the user interface level as well as powerful enough for gaming.

The back is slightly curved and has a glossy surface, but with a texture for better grip. We found the tablet very heavy and this might be due to the use of thicker plastics and the need for thicker volume to accommodate a SIM module inside. The ports and inputs are all laid out at the bottom of the tablet, and the biggest door is for the Huawei SIM module, which takes a single full sized SIM. We will be testing this tablet out in full and letting you know what we think in the full review, until then here are more pictures of the box contents. Have any questions?
