After teasers, Google has announced the release of the Google Fitbit Air in India, with sales commencing on 2 October. The screenless tracker is designed to facilitate continuous health and activity monitoring without digital notifications or screen-based distractions, relaying recorded metrics directly to the companion Google Health smartphone app.

The device utilizes a compact pebble form factor equipped with multiple biometric sensors. Key tracking capabilities include:
- Cardiovascular Monitoring: 24/7 continuous heart rate tracking, resting heart rate measurement, heart rate variability (HRV), and notifications for irregular heart rhythms (Afib).
- Sleep Tracking: Detailed sleep stage analysis and duration metrics designed for overnight wear.
- Vitals & Activity: Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring alongside automated routine and workout detection.
- Battery Performance: Up to 7 days of standard operation per charge, supported by fast-charging capability that delivers 24 hours of usage from a five-minute charge.
Software Integration and Accessories
The Fitbit Air integrates with Google Health Coach to provide guided feedback and actionable summaries derived from collected sensor data. In addition to automated tracking, users can log workouts by photographing exercise equipment or physical routines within the app.
The tracker features an interchangeable module architecture compatible with three distinct band styles:
- Performance Loop Band: A breathable, lightweight strap manufactured from recycled materials, included standard in the box.
- Active Band: A moisture-resistant silicone band aimed at high-intensity athletic activities.

The Google Fitbit Air is priced at ₹13,999 and comes in four color options: Obsidian, Berry, Lavender, and Fog. Each unit includes a complimentary three-month subscription to Google Health Premium.
At launch, purchase incentives include:
