HMD has introduced the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G in India, expanding its Vibe smartphone lineup with a model focused on mid-range hardware and localized software integration. The device succeeds the standard Vibe2 5G, introducing revisions to the processor, display, primary camera sensor, and battery capacity.
Hardware and Performance
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, an octa-core chipset built for 5G connectivity. The processor comprises two ARM Cortex-A76 performance cores running at up to 2.4 GHz alongside six ARM Cortex-A55 efficiency cores operating at up to 2.0 GHz.
Memory configurations include either 6GB or 8GB of RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage. Both variants support storage expansion up to 512GB through a dedicated microSD card slot.
Display, Camera, and Battery
On the front, the Vibe2 Pro 5G carries a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and a typical brightness rating of 800 nits.
For optics, the rear setup is anchored by a 64MP Sony IMX682 primary sensor, accompanied by a 2MP secondary macro camera. The front-facing camera utilizes a 13MP sensor housed within the display.
Powering the device is a 6,000mAh battery supporting 33W wired charging. HMD includes a compatible 33W charger in the retail packaging.
Software and Local Integration
The Vibe2 Pro 5G runs on Android 16 out of the box. In addition to standard OS features, HMD has integrated localized software tools targeted at the Indian market:
- Indus by Sarvam AI: An AI assistant localized for the region, supporting 22 Indian languages with underlying data infrastructure and servers hosted in India.
- Sanchar Saathi Integration: Direct access to the Department of Telecommunications’ citizen-centric portal, allowing users to trace lost or stolen handsets, verify device authenticity, and check registered SIM connections. Installation of this service is optional for users.
Other hardware specifications include dual speakers, dual microphones, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Design
The device comes in three color options—Silver Mist, Aqua Green, and Cosmic Purple—each featuring an iridescent accent around the camera module. Alongside this launch, HMD also introduced a new Wine Red colorway for the existing base Vibe2 5G.

Pricing, and availability
Launch pricing for the Vibe2 Pro 5G is set at Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB/128GB model and Rs. 16,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant with bank offers.
Both the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G and the Wine Red Vibe2 5G will be available on Flipkart starting October 8, coinciding with the platform’s Big Billion Days sale.
After-sales support will be handled across HMD’s network of over 200 service centers, alongside pickup-and-drop service coverage spanning more than 18,000 postal codes.
