HONOR has introduced a new MagicPad 4 tablet for the Chinese market that is different from the HONOR MagicPad 4 for the global market that was introduced earlier this year. This switches from OLED to LCD screen and there is also a change in the SoC.
Positioned as a versatile productivity and multimedia device, the tablet introduces a high-refresh-rate eye-protection screen, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 mobile platform, and cross-platform file-sharing capabilities.
Display and Audio Performance
Front and center is a 12.1-inch LCD screen utilizing HONOR’s Oasis eye-protection technology. The panel provides:

- Peak Brightness: 700 nits
- Certifications: IMAX Enhanced and HDR Vivid
Complementing the display is a built-in six-speaker stereo audio system designed to support media playback and remote conferencing.

The tablet is driven by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 flagship processor. To sustain peak performance during heavy workloads, HONOR implemented a three-dimensional thermal management setup:

- Cooling Efficiency: An 11.7% improvement in graphite heat dissipation over the previous generation
Power is supplied by a 10,100mAh battery, capable of delivering up to 70 days of standby time on a single charge. Despite the large cell capacity, the device maintains a slim profile, measuring 6.29mm in thickness and weighing 537 grams.
Software and Cross-Ecosystem Interconnectivity
On the software front, the MagicPad 4 expands productivity features with updates to HONOR’s Borderless Notes and HONOR Knowledge Workshop, alongside support for Android PC application workflows.
A notable addition is cross-brand file interoperability, enabling direct file, picture, and video transfers between the MagicPad 4 and external devices, including iOS hardware such as iPhones.
